Let's Get This Year Started.....
This year is off to a wonderful start. We started the day with two classes, 6th grade and 8th grade. The 6th grade is a class full of boys and fun. Those girls may be outnumbered but they sure don't know it.
With both classes we discussed personal and private information. We discussed how you should not share private information online. The class created a KWL Chart about their teacher. Since my daughters are in both of these classes it was fun to see what the students already knew about me. It was also interesting to see what they wanted to learn about me. This was a great opportunity for the new students to contribute to the conversation. Next time I see the students we will play a fun personalized online game using KAHOOT. Students will have to recall what they know about me, but also see who can guess the correct answers of what they want to know. I am thinking my two girls should knock it out of the park. Students will also produce an original Animoto video sharing personal information about themselves for us to share with their Homeroom Teacher. Teachers and parents get ready for our "Who Am I?" game.
